JACOB HYLTON:
Hello, and welcome to our official website! Established in June of 2020, Van Black has pushed the boundaries of local music in the Johnson City area. With the return of live music, Johnson City and surrounding areas are drawn to the high energy sound and experience when Vanta Black hits the stage!

With the collective influences from members: Jacob Hylton, Caleb Guerard, Logan Fields, and Bryson Booth, Vanta Black plays music we like to call "Indie with Attitude" Drawing inspiration from a plethora of genres, the collective sound of Vanta Blacks' music emulates the Indie vibe with the performance and huge guitar sound of arena rock music.

Vanta Black has had the opportunity to grow in the Johnson City community and beyond during the global coronavirus pandemic. As venues closed in upper east Tennessee, the band got to work. Using the months of mandated quarantine as preparation, Vanta Black sought to come out of the global nightmare to entertain a healing commuity and bring a new element of entertainment to the Johnson City Area
Jacob Hylton is Vanta Black's Frontman and guitarist. Before Vanta Black, Jacob has played in a variety of soft rock and country groups as a lead guitarist and vocalist, prior to the establishment of Vanta Black. His melodic guitar playing brings an element of fun and energy to the stage that can always get a crowd hyped! Hylton is also a songwriter for the band, being the penman for the high powered song, "Get By" and the passionate heartbreak ballad, "Space and Time", among many more. Hylton's fun and creative energy brings elements of showmanship and charisma every Vanta Black experience!
LOGAN FEILDS:
Logan Fields is Vanta Black's Percussionist and is a lifelong self-taught musician. Logan has dedicated a better part of his life to educating himself on multiple instruments and the music industry as a whole. His main style of percussion is a dynamic Punk-style that brings a unique edge and energy to every song . Whether it be on the stage or off, he acts as a stable support for the band with his passion for music and easy-going attitude.
CALEB GUERARD:
Caleb Guerard is the Band's bassist who lays down the grounds for the band. His background in music lies in his education through brass bands, which he has continued to pursue through college. Although his concentration of instrument isn't bass, he actively shows his passion for bass on and off the stage. Caleb's background of playing bass and musical preference lays between alternative and rock styles of which he incorporates in Vanta Black's style and original music. He is also considered to be the band's sweetheart!
BRYSON BOOTH:
ARE YOU PRESS?
Bryson Booth is Vanta Black's keyboardist here to add fullness to the sound and bring in special ornamentation that adds spice to the music. His primary musical bachground comes from vocal studies as well as piano which he has taken into his college career. Though his primary instrument isn't piano Bryson shows a zealous passion for the keyboard as he find new ways to support the band wherever he can and add a unique flavor to the music just like every other member of Vanta Black.
